YUMMY FEET!

I guess we just celebrated Elan's half-birthday. Yes, he is 6 months old now. The pictures below show his latest tricks which mainly involve eating his toes. Believe me, we do feed the child! In fact, he now eats avocado, sweet potatoes, carrots, green beans, unsweetened applesauce, and banana. I cook and puree all the veggies.

Elan loves to squeal--you can see he is excited for his bath and letting out a big squeal of excitement.

Oh..if I can just get that toe in my mouth!

Joy--the foot made it to my mouth. I am sooo flexible! Look at my fat belly...

Some pictures with mommy and daddy. We love to make him laugh!

Elan in St Louis? Thanks to Aunt Erika's boyfriend, we have a picture of another place you can find Elan's name. This store is evidently very smart about choosing a name :)!
In other news, Elan tried carrots yesterday. He seems to like these orange foods of sweet potatoes and carrots. Daddy is happy because orange is his favorite color. Also, I found Elan on his tummy when I got him up this morning. That is a first! He has always slept on his back, but I guess is working on rolling over during the day and in his dreams too!

UN AMIGO...

Elan has a new friend. We have an exchange student from Chile staying with us for a few weeks. He arrived January 1st and will be with us for three weeks and then will spend three weeks with a neighbor. Here is a picture of Elan with Alvaro.

Weight check--Elan was weighed yesterday and weighed 15 lbs 6 oz. He has now eaten sweet potatoes which he really liked. He didn't even make a yucky face like he did with applesauce. Tomorrow we try another new solid food--either avocado, green beans, or carrots. Those are the foods mommy made on Monday.

5 Months Old
These pictures were taken on his 5 month birthday. We had to do a picture with a sombrero. He still loves his cereal and wants to hold the spoon himself. Soon we will start some veggies...
