9 month doctor visit-Elan went to see the doctor today for his 9 month visit, though he is one week from 10 months. He weighed 19 lbs 14 oz (at 20 lbs we have to get a new car seat so we better get shopping), and he was 29 1/2 inches long. The doctor checked all his developmental characteristics, and she said he is doing great.
He also got in our pool for the first time today. I had dipped his feet in the water last week when I was setting the pool up. He liked it, and he liked my hat too as you can tell from the pictures.

I haven't written any posts to the blog in awhile, but I was waiting for Elan to do something! Well, he certainly has! He can now sit up on his own and pull up on furniture. He has been inchworm crawling for several weeks, but he also finally figured out how to crawl the real way. This has all happened overnight it seems. His two bottom teeth are pretty much in, and both top ones are showing. One top tooth is in farther than the other.
You can see in the pictures how he can tear a room apart in a matter of minutes with the toys or other things scattered about. The first picture shows him pulled up to the window after he has opened our side table and gotten into the items inside. Fun times!
No new foods, but we are working on getting him to eat finger foods. He will eat cheerios like they are going out of style, but when I give him pieces of other foods, he isn't too interested.
