Elan is 11 months old! We don't know his current weight as we have not checked it lately, but we know he is over 20 pounds. We don't think he has grown much in length since last time we checked. Will he be walking in a month at his 1st birthday? We don't know, but he is making good progress on walking as he holds on to furniture or his push toy.

The Beach!!! Elan had his first trip to the ocean last week. We went to Oak Island, NC where we have gone for the last few years. He had not seen his Noni and Lito since Christmas, so they were happy to see him and he learned to be happy to see them after he remembered who they were. They gave him an early 1st birthday present of a red wagon, and he enjoyed the wagon rides. He wanted to eat the sand, and he continued to eat it even after tasting it once. The grit didn't seem to bother him! He spent some time in the ocean, and he also enjoyed a little pool we took for him. We took a few bike rides, and Elan rode in his bike trailer. This time he didn't fall asleep (as he did in the past). We even rode a long trip to the end of the island.
We began the process of weaning which is going OK. He didn't seem to mind at first, but now that we are back home, we are having some issues. We just aren't sure if those issues are due to weaning, being thrown off from vacation, or some other deal.
