Elan's page

Anthony's boss gave us this little car for Elan, and he has recently gotten really into the car. He sees it and says "Vroom, vroom". Today Anthony tied a string on it so we could pull him. He doesn't know how to push his feet and make it move, but I am sure he will eventually learn.

September 6th--Anthony buys a dog "for Elan". He got it from the animal shelter. He has chosen the name "Oso" which means bear in Spanish. The puppy is the color of a bear. Not sure what type of dog he is, but Anthony thinks he is part chocolate lab. He hopes he will grow up to be a big dog. Elan likes the puppy, except the puppy gets too playful and knocks Elan over. Then he is not really happy.

Motorcycle ride...don't worry--Anthony is not driving fast. Elan has learned to say vroom, vroom when he sees cars and motorcycles. Anthony thought he would give him a little ride down the driveway. And why is Elan in his diaper? Every time he goes outside he gets so dirty that we have started sending him outside without clothes so we don't ruin the clothes! That won't work come winter time.

Maybe Elan doesn't belong in the mop bucket, but it was such a cute pose that we couldn't resist. Actually it was Anthony's idea. Elan had a wonderful time pushing the mop bucket all around the driveway. We are really hoping it is not a glimpse of his future career!

Visit with the grandparents--Elan just enjoyed a nice visit with his grandparents. In the first picture, you can barely see some evidence of his first big scratch. He fell on Friday night and scraped up his face. Brick steps on the porch just don't feel so good! Maybe it is the first of many to come. The picture shows how he likes to walk in the pool with his floaties on his arms. The second picture is a big dunk, thanks to daddy. The third picture shows Elan's first ride on the zipline. He wasn't quite sure what to think about that! We had a great weekend!
