Memorial Day weekend--Elan had a visit with his Noni and Lito. What a fun weekend! He enjoyed a visit to the motorcycle shop, and he had to sit on many different motorcycles. We are not sure why he liked the pink four-wheeler so much! He also enjoys going to our rental property so he can sit on the lawnmower/tractor as well as the front porch swing. We bought him a $6 lawnmower of his own, and perhaps it was money well spent as he went all over the yard all weekend. Too bad it can't really cut the grass for us!
He is finally learning new words every day. He doesn't know as many Spanish words, but he has learned "pan" for bread and can say a couple numbers in Spanish. He can almost count all the numbers to ten in English, and he learned how to say Noni when his grandmother came. He can't say Lito yet. He can say "key" in English, and we hear this many times a day as he thinks he needs keys to everything!

Elan and Anthony went to my soccer game in Atlanta on Saturday. Elan enjoyed climbing around a nearby tree, and he seemed to learn a little more about the idea of soccer. Until now he always wanted to pick up the ball, but he watched us play and did better at kicking it. The last picture shows some Mother's Day flowers that Elan gave me (of course daddy did all the picking).

MISCHIEF! Here are some pictures of Elan on his motorcycle we bought a month or so ago. He loves to ride it, even with his feet up, and he also turns his hands on the handlebar part as if he is giving it gas like a real motorcycle. But the next pictures show him getting into trouble. He got into the white out bottle and painted his face. Thankfully it was not the furniture. The last picture shows him tearing up a pen that had a tape measure in it. He was sort of on the destructive path last night! His face still has white out today because I couldn't get it off and didn't want to scrub too hard. It should wear off with time.
