Tijuana Trip Numero Dos...Here are some pictures of this year's trip to Tijuana. Elan was still the littlest missionary as they called him last year. The first picture shows him playing in the dirt with Bernardo. The kids there loved Elan, but he was shy or scared of many of them. The dirt was a bond, though, and there is plenty of that in Tijuana. He enjoyed pushing his truck around, and Bernardo was sweet to play with him. There are a couple pictures of him just being happy, and then there is one of his new hat we bought on our Ensenada day trip. The next picture shows him with our sponsored girls, Romina and Margarita. They adore him, and he played with them well on the first day before he felt worse later in the week. The last picture is Elan eating a Boli which is a popsicle tube of some sort of fruity tropical flavored thing. He loved it, and he liked most of our paletas (popsicles) from the ice cream stand.
Overall, he did well on the trip. He did not like the Hispanic lady who kept him, so Anthony and I took turns. He got sick Wed night, so he was a little lethargic for the rest of the trip. He also learned some new Spanish words. He is now saying "si" for yes and also saying "no". He can count most all the numbers 1-10 in Spanish now too where before he was only doing English.
