Elan has been enjoying some Christmas celebrations. So far he doesn't know much about Santa except that Santa says ho, ho, ho. He hears from us how Christmas is Jesus' birthday, and we are trying to practice giving rather than receiving. But he is quite happy here with his cousins and a toy motorcycle he received. He has been doing a little better taking pictures with his sister, so we had to include a picture of him with Ellery.

Fun activities...back before it got cold, we took a leaf walk through downtown Rome and enjoyed the fall colors. The second picture shows Rome's clocktower where we had a picnic. Elan enjoyed the time running around with his friend. The last picture shows Elan beside some animals. We went to an event at the Episcopal Church here in town where they had animals for the kids to look at. They were promoting Heifer International which is an organization that uses money people donate to give animals to those in other countries. The people can use the animals to make a living. We purchased a trio of rabbits and some trees to be sent elsewhere. Elan enjoyed seeing the baby pigs, quail, rabbits, a sheep, chickens, and some birds.
