Summer vacation---because of the oil in the gulf, we canceled our beach trip to Dauphin Island, AL earlier this summer. We reserved a rental house on Lake Guntersville in AL. Elan had a blast swimming with his life vest, floating in the water, doing the paddle boat, roasting smores, etc. Here are some pictures...

Cave Spring creek wading--after several attempts to get a picture of everyone looking at the camera, this is the best I can do. The kids (Elan's friends Hunter, Lizzy, and Sam and Kate in the background) enjoyed this tree as much as wading through the creek.
