Picking out a pumpkin
We went to Lowery Farms last weekend, the 22nd, to pick out a pumpkin. Elan is not into looking at the camera, much less smiling, but we managed to get one or two.

Elan's snacks
Although I have been making cute snacks since Elan started preschool, this is the first year the kids seemed excited. The class asked me how I made such cool snacks when I went in during snack week to teach them Spanish. I made yogurt pops that looked like Stretch (the measuring tape) from the show Handy Manny, but that pic got lost. Here are acorns, apple rice krispie treats, and zhu zhu pets from twinkies. They aren't the healthiest snacks, but the kids loved them.

Our orchard experience
Last weekend we went to Hillcrest orchards in Ellijay, GA (apple capital of Georgia). There were a LOT of people there. It was an interesting experience because of that. However, the kids enjoyed many fun activities, and we did pick some apples.

Elan's flag football experience--it has been a little challenging for him to pay attention during all the standing time of football, but he hasn't complained about playing. He was acting like he liked his sister on her birthday (he had a game that day).

Elan's "sandwich" idea
Elan likes to do silly pics, and at his request, I took a picture of he and Ellery making a sandwich on the coffee table.

Elan wanted to drive his tractor up on the mulch pile and have me snap a picture. He also came up with the idea to pull his sisters in their wagon. Made for some good pictures. This was last Friday, and they are enjoying playing outside as the temps are a little cooler.
